For our Provider Appreciation Day celebration this year, we made gift bags for each of our members with candles, note pads, keychains, etc. We also had tile coasters made up for each of them and will be awarding 2 more door prizes than normal at our monthly meeting where this is taking place. Each provider will also be given a certificate of appreciation for all that they do for the children in their care.
In appreciation of all the work that our local providers do, Child Care Information Services of Philadelphia South/Center City has been hosting an Afternoon Open House for the providers in our R&R Coverage area for the past 4 years on Provider Appreciation Day. This year will be our 5th Annual Provider Open House! We invite the approximately 200 center, group, and family providers that we work with in the South and Center City Philadelphia area (administrators, operators, and/or teachers) to come to our office for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, an hour, or whatever amount of time they have available on that afternoon. We have food, gifts, a raffle, and certificates of appreciation for all providers who come. This is our chance to offer them a little break in their otherwise very busy schedules - a few minutes to sit down, relax, and be recognized for their efforts. After the event, we mail the remaining certificates out to all invited providers who weren’t able to attend. Providers who have attended in the past have returned in subsequent years because they really enjoy the event, and through word of mouth and encouragement from our staff, attendance has been building a bit each year. It is our way of saying Thank you! for a job well done and we hope to continue doing it for many more years to come!
