Governor Craig Benson issued a proclamation for Provider Appreciation Day, May 9, 2003.

"The Lakes Region Area of New Hampshire (Belknap County) celebrated not only Provider Appreciation Day, but provider appreciation week. This year we gave gifts of appreciation every day to all child care providers in the county. We also took out an ad in the newspaper with all their names. On May 5th we had an evening event with speakers, certificates of recognition and awards. Governor Jeanne Shaheen has proclaimed May 10, 2002 Provider Appreciation Day in New Hampshire. This is the second year she has done so. Beverly Lynch, President of NH FCCA was the local sponsor of the 2002 proclamation.
