North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven has signed a proclamation declaring May 9, 2008 as Provider Appreciation Day

The southwest part of the state, known as Region 8, hosted a Child Care Appreciation Event on May 6, 2003 at the Hillside Baptist Church in Dickinson for all licensed childcare providers. Ceil Ann Clement, retired school teacher of 34 years and professional story tell for 17 years spoke on the importance of story telling.
