We are a group of Professional Child Care Providers in Fort Wayne, IN, this was the first we have heard of Provider Appreciation Day when we noticed the article in the Nafcc National Perspective Newsletter. Since it was short notice for us to do something for the providers in our area this year, we decided to limit it to the members of our group, United Providers, and plan something Bigger for next year. We have gift bags with small gifts and hand written appreciation cards we will be passing out to each member of our group this year.We are hoping to come up with something Great to honor the providers in our area, it is much deserved. Thank You!

I would like to personally recognize Michelle Rhoads for all the time, effort, support and kindness she puts into her daycare and also Elkhart County Daycare Association, of Elkhart,Indiana, for all the members! Thank you Michelle from all officers and members of ECDCA

The ECDCA (Elkhart County Day Care Association) had their first provider Appreciation celebration in May 2004. We will continue to appreciate Elkhart County family providers every May. This evening was wonderful. We recognized all area providers that attended the evening along with a special gift to three providers that have provided care for Elkhart, IN. children for more than 20 years. Sharon Raeder of Elkhart, IN. has provided care for more than 30 years! Her two daughters and mother attended the evening of appreciation and had each wrote a speech telling us how they appreciate and admire their mother for what she does day after day for children! This was an evening of many tears! Tears of joy, and long over due appreciation of Elkhart County Family Providers! We invited the Mayor and along with that the Mayor´s office presented Sharon Raeder with a certificate of appreciation. This too the Mayor office will participate in every year. The ECDCA will continue to have this evening of appreciation.
To all family providers across the USA... "THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN NEED OF QUALITY CARE!"
