Governor Mike Huckabee has designated May 9, 2003 Provider Appreciation Day in Arkansas and encourages all residents to show appreciation for all child care providers on Friday May 9, 2003. The State sponsor was Debbie Wright.

The NorthWest Arkansas Family Child Care Association celebrated Provider Appreciation Day with over 100 providers

A Mother´s Love Child Care Center in West Memphis awarded their teachers official Appreciation Day certificates at their event

Governor Mike Huckabee signed a proclamation on March 11, 2004 declaring May 7, 2004 Provider Appreciation Day in the state of Arkansas. Secretary of State Charlie Daniels co-signed the proclamation.
