Governor Frank Murkowski has signed a proclamation naming May 9, 2003 Provider Appreciation Day in Alaska.
The Fairbanks Association for the Education of Young Children held a 2003 celebration that included official logo pins for members.
2002
In Fairbanks Alaska in 2002, they celebrated Provider Appreciation Day at Open Arms Child Development Center with Hors d'oeuvre, coffee and desserts, music, drawings and presentations of proclamations for the area mayors. The Alaska Family Child Care Food Program, Coalition Food Program, Child Care Connection and Alaska Family Child Care Association is sponsoring a Provider Appreciation Celebration to be held on May 15th, 2005 from 2PM until 5PM at the Kincaid Outdoor Center. This celebration will include fun, food, door prizes, local and State government representation, and an award for the Provider of the Year will be given.
